Don has been dabbling in photography for many years. He has an artist’s eye for framing just the right view! He used to have a darkroom where he developed his own film and made prints. Now he’s in the digital age and doing great work, so I decided to share some with you.
Sumi-e
While living on the island of Okinawa, Don took Sumi-e lessons from Hiede Haakenson for a couple of years. Some of his work is available on this site as giclee prints. Don adds his personal seal to authenticate each print.
Gretchen (Daughter, Career woman, Jewelry and Fabric Artist)
In her creative time outside her formal career, Gretchen is the owner of YNot?!. She too is a collector…of vintage jewelry, specifically brooches. She transforms vintage baubles, beads, crystals and gemstones into fabulous adornments for the neck, ears and wrists. Gretchen never met a sweater she didn’t like and is also creating with felted wool and other textiles.
